With the help of the Enterprise Europe Network, “PakMarkas“ develops a website for export
With the help of the Enterprise Europe Network a website for export is developed in a practical mentoring workshop
SIA "PakMarkas" is one of the leaders in product marking, engineering packaging and manufacturing automation solutions in the Baltic States. It specialises in printing, packaging and labelling equipment, spare parts for equipment, service, repairs, and packaging materials. However, its main area of activity is printing – self-adhesive labels on rolls, thermal transfer labels, stickers and annotations for the production and sale of various types of labels and other packaging products.
SIA PakMarkas has shown good growth results throughout its entire period of operation, with sales exceeding EUR 6 million in the last two years. One of the areas of growth is exports and their expansion by seeking new directions.
Within the framework of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), LCCI together with international business and communications consultant Jūlija Sovani organized a practical mentoring workshop as part of the "Export-Ready Website" program. The aim was to prepare an export website for the Scandinavian market and to raise awareness of the principles of B2B websites by analyzing the requirements, trends and opportunities of the Scandinavian market. As Scandinavia was one of SIA "PakMarkas" desired export destinations, a B2B website was created during the practical workshop that was tailored to the company's profile and focused on the Estonian and Northern European markets. The work was carried out not only to improve the content, but also website SEO keywords, so that the website would be visible and findable in the specific country.
As a result, exports in 2024 increased by 40%, reaching 240,000 euros, and the process continues, with the customer base gradually increasing from Scandinavian market. Finding a place in the Swedish market is still gaining momentum, but with the help of the created website, we have already managed to find cooperation partners and establish contacts for exports to Estonia.
Viktors Grigorjevs, manager of SIA PakMarkas, says: "As the local market is very small, we have set ourselves the goal of exporting. To do this, we needed a suitable platform. We decided to enter the Nordic market with a new brand, and this coincided with training at the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This is how Stensen and its website were created, with the main target being the Swedish market, but we successfully started operating in Estonia and looking for partners in Finland and Norway."
The mentoring workshops were implemented with the framework of the Enterprise Europe Network and were funded by the Single Market Programme for the period 2021–2025.
